ProGuard® GC
Safety for vulnerable road users
ProGuard GC is primarily aimed at creating a protected area for pedestrians and cyclists moving around a work area. The design-protected modular system can be assembled in a variety of different shapes and is tested according to the new standard for pedestrian and cycle barriers.
Tested for greater safety
The GC system is tested and approved to SS 7750-1. The rails also meet the standard’s requirement not to topple in winds up to 20 m/s. Their design safely protects people close to the closure.
Easy handling with low weight
Both the GC rail and its foot weigh just 16 kg, making them easy to handle manually. Several rails can also be lifted simultaneously with fork tines. The foot’s multiple handholds enable quick set-up of long runs.
Visibility and stability
Reflectors in two proven warning colours are positioned at rail-mesh height to help road users notice the rail in good time. Yellow anti-slip tape on the feet reduces slip risk and improves visibility, even at higher speeds. Four rubber pads under each foot increase friction and stability.
Modular foot solution
Multiple locating holes in the foot allow the system to accommodate uneven ground and height differences. The foot’s low profile minimises trip risk, and bicycle tyres can roll over it easily. Whatever the site requires, the modular system provides a solution.

The G-Railing system is approved in Class 1.
Can the GC barrier system be anchored to the ground?
Yes, the GC barrier system can be anchored. When anchored, the working width is reduced to 0 metres, meaning there is no lateral movement under pressure.
What does the GC barrier system weigh?
The GC barrier weighs 16 kg and the GC foot weighs 16 kg, making the system stable.
The G-barrier weighs 20 kg.
What wind loads can the railings withstand?
They can withstand wind speeds of up to 20 m/s, which corresponds to the requirement in SS 7750-1.
