Safe At Site’s customer Trafficon has been commissioned to deliver temporary traffic management equipment in Tierp, where the municipality is carrying out work in an urban environment. For the project, they chose to use ProGuard® ZoneStop®, which has proven to be a very well-suited solution in confined traffic areas.
“We chose ZoneStop over traditional mobile crash cushions because we felt it was a real improvement, particularly in terms of set-up and logistics. The fact that it passes the required tests for this type of equipment but with a much shorter stopping distance is fantastic and opens up opportunities in city traffic,” says Markus Dahlin, Site Manager at Trafficon.
“It’s really exciting to see ZoneStop in use and to hear from our customers that the ideas we had at the drawing board are creating real value in practice,” says Lars Boogh, COO at Safe At Site.
ProGuard® ZoneStop® is tested and approved in accordance with the Swedish Transport Administration’s method VVMB 351 2000/70. It stops a car within 19.2 metres at 70 km/h and 10.6 metres at 50 km/h – shorter than traditional mobile crash cushions, and a key advantage in urban areas.
